Prior to Ange and I heading away in December 2023, OpenAI released a free ChatGPT app for iPhone in the US that includes voice input support through its Whisper AI speech recognition model
The move brings ChatGPT to an official mobile client app for the first time.
Conversational ChatGPT refers to versions of the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) model developed by OpenAI that are designed for natural language understanding and generation in a conversational context. These models are trained on diverse datasets containing parts of the internet and can generate human-like responses in a conversation.
I downloaded the app from the Apple Store and started playing around with it by asking it all sorts of questions and led to conversations about Egypt, what we could expect with the weather, food, culture, entertainment etc.
I was blown away with how easy it led the discussion and prompted me to ask more questions just like I would with a person.
Conversational ChatGPT models can be used for a variety of applications, such as chatbots, virtual assistants, and other natural language processing tasks. Developers and researchers can fine-tune these models for specific use cases or integrate them into applications to facilitate human-like interactions.
Business owners need to embrace this technology if they want to maintain a competitive edge and stay current, otherwise they will get left behind very quickly as this technology is developing at such a rapid pace.
